DEMC Specialist Hospital became the first private hospital to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a strategic partnership with Monash University Sunway allowing access of our clinical facility to their final year students.

Inpatient services commenced under the care of Dr Norleen Mohd Salleh, the first Resident Obstetrics & Gynaecologist, with Dr Raveenthiran Rasiah and Dr Jamaluddin Yushak as the visiting anaesthetist and surgeon respectively.

Started its operation in Section 9 Shah Alam comprising a two consecutive shop-lot within a five storey building.

Founded by a group of General Practitioners and a Paediatrician. The hospital was officially registered as ‘Primary Medical and Maternity Centre’ (PMMC).
