Dato’ Dr Omar Abd Hamid is the founder and currently the President & Chief Executive Officer of DEMC. He has a long and diverse experience in hospital operations, planning and design, hospital feasibility evaluation and quality assurance. Through his leadership, DEMC has emerged as the leading boutique hospital that offers personalised service in an exclusive setup. His valuable project experience includes the planning and commissioning of the 1000-bedded Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM), and the 600-bedded Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Kuantan.

In 2003, he was awarded the prestigious national “Entrepreneur Award In Service Sector” by the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Development for his successful entrepreneurship in setting-up and managing a profitable private medical centre in Shah Alam.

He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Malaya, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Hospital Administration (PGDHHSA) from the University of South Bank, United Kingdom and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Ballarat, Australia. He has also earned an intensive Management Training in Mayo Medical Centre, Rochester, Minnesota, USA.  

Dr Abdul Razak graduated from University of Malaya in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery in 1997. He started his career in Sarawak General Hospital as an ENT Medical Officer in 1992. After completing his Masters in Otolaryngology from University of Malaya he continued practice as a Consultant ENT Surgeon in Kuala Lumpur General Hospital.

During his tenure in public service, he has acquired vast experience in paediatric and adult ENT conditions. His interest in Paediatric ENT allows the initiation of the Paediatric ENT clinic in the Kuala Lumpur Paediatric Institute. He was awarded by the Ministry of Health to pursue further training in Nasal Sinus Surgery in Australia in 2002. He also attained his MBA in 2010 from University of Ballarat, Australia.

He is currently the resident ENT consultant and also appointed as the Hospital Medical Director in 2012. Dr Razak's clinic covers most general paediatric and adult ENT conditions. His particular interests are in Nasal Airway problems and Nasal Sinus Airway management, Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and state of the art minimally invasive Balloon Sinuplasty for Rhinosinusitis.

After obtaining a degree in Accountancy from University of Malaya in 1996, Ahmad Tazilan commenced his career in medium size accounting firm – Azman, Wong, Salleh & Co for 5 years. During his tenure in the firm, he obtained membership from Malaysian Institute of Accountant as a Chartered Accountant. He subsequently garnered his first commercial experience as an Accountant in Felda Rubber Industries Sdn Bhd in a manufacturing business.

Subsequently, he held a position as a Finance Manager in Johawaki Group for 7 years handling diversified activities in construction, property development, plantation, road maintenance, manufacturing, trading activities and 2 international arms in Jakarta and Bosnia. He later gained exposure in KUB Malaysia Bhd, a public listed company as a Senior Finance Manager for 1 ½ years before joining DEMC Specialist Hospital in December 2010 as the Chief Finance Officer. In 2015, he was promoted as the Group CFO. And most recently, as of 1 January 2017, he has been promoted to Vice President (Finance & Subsidiary Operations).

Prior to joining DEMC, Mazidah Umar has 15 years of experience as a Pharmacist, Manager of Pharmacy & Purchasing at Columbia Asia Hospital and Pharmacist-In-Charge at KPJ Hospital. She joined DEMC as the Chief Pharmacist and later promoted as the Director of Pharmaceutical Services.

Her responsibilities include Outpatient & Inpatient pharmacy services, counselling, purchasing for pharmaceuticals and disposables, inventory and storage, pricing strategies and vendor relations.

Mazidah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from University of Malaya and a certificate in Healthcare Leadership from University of Cornell. As of 1 January 2017, she has been promoted to Vice President (Operations).

Haslina Zainuddin is a State Registered Nurse (SRN) graduated from University Malaya Nursing School in the early eighties. Her last post in University Malaya Medical Centre was as a Nurse Manager before she moved to DEMC as Head of Nursing. Her career then moved from clinical responsibilities into general administration, marketing and credit control.

Her vast experience in clinical and general management has assisted her in her current post as the Vice President (Corporate Services & Talent Management).

Besides her nursing diploma, she also attained Executive Diploma in Management from University of Malaya and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Open University.

Norsilayati started her career as a State Registered Nurse after graduating from University Malaya Nursing School in 1991.

After leaving the government service she joined DEMC as a Nurse Manager.

In 2013 she was promoted to the post of Director of Nursing in charge of inpatient services, nurses training, infection control and quality assurance. And most recently, as of 1 January 2017, she has been promoted to Senior Director of Inpatient Services.

As the Director of Facility Support Services, he is responsible for ensuring that the facilities and infrastructure are well maintained and clean, and all equipments are in order and fully functional.

His responsibilities also include Engineering services, Housekeeping, Security, Fire Safety, Parking and Transportation.

Prior to joining DEMC, Muhaimin has spent 7 years in the fields of Healthcare & Telecommunications. He holds a Masters of Science Degree in Facilities Management from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).

Shahrin Shafie holds a Bachelor Degree (Hons.) in Business Administration from Universiti Utara Malaysia majoring in Management and has accumulated 16 years of experience working as a Human Resource practitioner.

His last appointment prior to joining DEMC was Head of Human Resource & Administration of Miyazu (M) Sdn. Bhd. a subsidiary of Proton Holdings Berhad.

He joined DEMC in 2016 and is currently Director of Human Resource & Talent Management.

Rosmawati Osman graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Universiti Teknologi Mara and holds a Master in Business Administration (Accounting) from Universiti Utara Malaysia.

Before joining DEMC Specialist Hospital in 2015, she was working in Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad (CIMA), a subsidiary of UEM Group Berhad.

Rosmawati has a total of 11 years of work experience as an Auditor.
